Day 2 – Sunday 10 June 2012 – 90km cycling
Our first day on the bikes take us from Treviso to Belluno. We head towards the Prosecco region and towards Montello with its 21 “prese” (small streets climbing the hill on both sides). Along the way we also pass through Combai and stop for a snack at the most famous winery which produces Cartize. As you enjoy this grape nectar you may decide to top up your bottles just like the famous French champion Jacques Anquetil!
We then continue on towards Belluno and over the San Boldo Pass. This a 7 km climb and the road was carved into the stone by Italian soldiers serving with the Austrian forces in 1918. After reaching the top we enjoy our descent to Belluno located at the foot of the Belluno Dolomites National Park.
Sleep: Belluno
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 3 – Monday 11 June 2012 – 85km cycling
Today we come across the first of the testing Dolomites ascents. From Belluno we cycle towards Alleghe and the Santa Lucia Pass. What confronts us next is the legendary although extremely difficult Giau Pass (10km at 9.5% - Altitude 2236m). At the top you will be amazed by your achievement and be looking forward to the technical descent to Cortina. Cortina is widely known as a fashionable ski resort and in many ways the pulsing heart of the Dolomites.

Sleep: Cortina
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 4 – Tuesday 12 June 2012 – 55km cycling
Today’s shorter distance shouldn’t be confused for easier riding! Today you have two special mountain climbs to tackle, Passes Falzarego and Valparola. These climbs take us right into the scenic Brenta Dolomites group. The cycling will allow you to witness these spectacular mountains from above before descending to Villa and our hotel in Corvara.

Sleep: Corvara
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 5 – Wednesday 13 June 2012 – 60km cycling
For many this is without a doubt the main stage of their Dolomites experience: the famous Sella Ronda cycling route! Totalling 60km in length the circuit takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes imaginable. Following an early rise and hearty breakfast we set off like the many champions before us who have faced and climbed them during the Giro d’Italia. The first pass is Campolongo, then Pordoi, the Sella and the Gardena Pass. You will experience all the sensations of a professional cyclist whilst climbing almost 2000 metres. And remember the support van will be on-hand with many snacks and drinks along the way!
Sleep: Corvara
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 6 – Thursday 14 June 2012 – 85km cycling
The highlight for today is the challenging ascent to Pass Fedaia from its most difficult approach, that of Malga Ciapela. At the top the amazing view of the Marmolada and its glacier will repay you! The cycling stage concludes with a fantastic descent towards Predazzo along a well prepared bicycle path.
Sleep: Predazzo
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 7 – Friday 15 June 2012 – 125km cycling
The final days riding includes one last ascent to Pass Rolle. At 1989m altitude it is yet another high mountain pass in the Trentino region. The climb tally will be entering double figures by now! The descent towards Pedavena comes with a bonus as we get the chance to taste the excellent local beers. The cycling continues and we proceed past Montebelluna and finish in Castelfranco Veneto, a beautiful walled city and birthplace of Giorgione, a famous Italian painter of the 13th century.
Sleep: Castelfranco
Meals: Breakfast / Dinner provided
Day 8 – Saturday 16 June 2012
A morning transfer to Venice-Treviso International Airport is available after breakfast but some might decide to take advantage of this beautiful area and enjoy a few more days in the Venice region. You are free to organise this yourself but we are available to assist you in any way possible.
Meals: Breakfast provided
